Service Description
Writing the Body: A Somatic Approach to Creativity, Healing, and Collective Expression This course invites participants to explore the connection between body, nervous system, and creative expression. Through accessible somatic practices such as breathwork, emotional freedom technique, guided meditation, and intuitive exercises, participants will learn to identify and move through creative blocks held in the body, while cultivating greater presence, flow, and self-awareness. Each session integrates guided writing, embodied reflection, and optional sharing in a supportive, healing-forward space. Participants will develop a personal writing practice rooted in movement while also engaging in collaborative creative processes. The somatic practices we explore will guide and support our writing, creating a channel that unlocks our creative capacities via our bodies and psyches. Alongside the personal body of work we generate, the course culminates in the co-creation of a collective piece that we will bring to life through voice, offering a meaningful experience of connection and shared expression. Open to all levels, this course centers accessibility, inclusivity, and the belief that creativity is a powerful tool for healing and group connection. Course duration: Occurs weekly for six weeks. Each session is two hours. $350 for the full course.
