Teaching therapists to become confident business owners—not just clinicians Building a successful online insurance-based mental health practice requires more than excellent clinical skills—it requires business knowledge, strategic planning, and confidence. My consulting services are designed to educate and empower therapists who want to start or strengthen an online solo practice that accepts insurance. Rather than doing the work for you, I teach you the knowledge, systems, and practical skills needed to confidently manage your own practice and make informed decisions as a business owner. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider, and founder of Ray of Light Wellness and The Ray of Light Collective, I draw from my work experiences to help other therapists create businesses that are organized, sustainable, and aligned with their values. Together, we can explore topics such as: -Creating a step-by-step checklist for launching your online solo practice -Understanding business considerations for providing telehealth across state lines -Learning how to credential directly with insurance companies so you can maintain ownership of your contracts -Understanding insurance billing and claim submission -Selecting and utilizing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system -Developing essential intake forms, informed consent documents, HIPAA forms, financial policies, and other practice paperwork -Learning documentation best practices -Budgeting for startup and ongoing business expenses -Identifying helpful resources, tools, and technology -Addressing your unique questions and business goals My mission is to help therapists become knowledgeable, independent practice owners who feel confident navigating both the clinical and business aspects of private practice. When therapists understand how to build and manage their own businesses, they are better positioned to create sustainable careers, expand access to quality mental health care, and make a lasting impact in the communities they serve.

For All Courses, Classes, and One-on-One Sessions: All Sales Are Final; No-Refund Policy Due to the live format of this course all fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No refunds, credits, or partial chargebacks will be issued under any circumstances, including student absence, scheduling conflicts, personal emergencies, or technical issues on the student's end. By registering, you commit to your purchase. To preserve the privacy, comfort, and psychological safety of all participants in our live learning environment, students are strictly prohibited from recording, screen-capturing, ripping, or distributing audio or video from the live sessions. No third-party recording software, external cameras, or AI note-taking bots are permitted. Anyone found violating this privacy policy will be immediately expelled from the course without a refund. This course is delivered live via Zoom and begins promptly at the scheduled time. Students are entirely responsible for securing a stable internet connection, a working webcam, and clear audio equipment. The instructor is not responsible for audio lag, connection drops, or software crashes on your device. Missed classes will not be rescheduled, refunded, or prorated.
