Laura is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut, with more than a decade of experience supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging and overwhelming moments.
Laura is passionate about helping people develop a healthier, more compassionate relationship with themselves and their lives. She specializes in working with individuals experiencing disordered eating, OCD, phobias, ADHD, PTSD, and panic disorders. Laura’s clinical background includes working in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs, facilitating specialized therapy groups, as well as providing hands-on meal coaching and support to individuals and families navigating eating-related challenges.
Laura believes that meaningful therapy begins with feeling safe, understood, and accepted. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based treatment. She is intensively trained in telehealth-based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and phobias and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care into her work. She meets each person where they are while helping them gradually build the confidence and skills to move toward the life they want.
Whether you are struggling with fear, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, eating concerns, ADHD, or the lasting effects of trauma, Laura offers a space where you don’t have to navigate those experiences alone. She brings warmth, empathy, clinical expertise, and genuine enthusiasm to her work with clients.
Laura is also an integral part of the Ray of Light Wellness LLC team, where she serves as a Supervisor. She is passionate not only about supporting clients, but also about helping fellow clinicians grow in their confidence, clinical skills, and ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
