Emily is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional whose approach is warm, relaxed, and collaborative. She integrates EMDR when appropriate, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and practical coping strategies to help clients better understand their emotions and recognize how past experiences, nervous system responses, and current stressors affect their well-being. Together, she and her clients work toward managing anxiety, processing difficult experiences, building emotional regulation skills, and strengthening self-confidence. Her goal is not to help clients become perfect, but to help them feel more grounded, present, and connected to themselves and the lives they are building.

Emily works with women navigating mom guilt, anxiety, grief, birth-related trauma, difficult past experiences, and the pressure to hold everything together. Clients may be adjusting to life with a new baby, struggling with unexpected emotions after birth, or realizing that motherhood has brought up experiences and feelings they thought they had already worked through. They may wonder why this season feels harder than expected or feel guilty for not enjoying every moment. Whatever they are experiencing, they deserve a space where their feelings are welcomed without judgment and their needs matter, too.

Emily specializes in maternal mental health, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and matrescence, the profound physical, emotional, and identity shifts that come with becoming a mother. While mothers may love their children deeply, they can also feel overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or disconnected from the people they were before motherhood. For those struggling to balance everyone else's needs while trying to understand their own, they are not alone. Therapy can help women move beyond simply getting through the day and begin feeling more like themselves again. Clients do not need to have the right words or know exactly what they need before starting therapy.

Emily works at a pace that feels comfortable for each client, making room for the complicated parts of motherhood while celebrating small steps forward along the way. Whether preparing for a first baby, adjusting to life after birth, or rediscovering themselves in this new season, women do not have to navigate these experiences alone. Emily invites those ready to feel more supported, reconnect with themselves, and find a healthier balance in motherhood to reach out and schedule a consultation to see if they are a good fit. She believes every mother deserves care and support, too, and would be honored to walk alongside them.
