Elena Clamen believes that sometimes, finding your way forward begins with simply having a safe place to pause, breathe, and be heard. She creates a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients can explore their relationships, beliefs, values, emotions, and the experiences that have shaped them. With warmth and humor, Elena hopes clients feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves into therapy —exactly as they are.
Elena takes an integrative and creative approach to therapy, recognizing that healing and self-discovery do not look the same for everyone. She incorporates expressive art therapy to give clients another way to explore and express thoughts, feelings, and emotions that may be difficult to put into words. Through creative expression and the use of different art materials, clients can develop greater self-awareness, discover new perspectives, and connect with parts of themselves that may have been difficult to access through conversation alone. No artistic experience is necessary; creativity simply becomes another language for exploring the self.
Her work incorporates Focusing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness exercises. Elena thoughtfully draws from these approaches to create a therapeutic experience that is individualized to each client’s needs, values, and goals.
Elena supports clients through some of life’s most tender and complicated transitions, including infertility and family building, pregnancy and postpartum experiences, parenting, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and caregiving. She understands that these experiences can bring many emotions at once—hope and disappointment, love and exhaustion, joy and grief, uncertainty and change. Her goal is to provide a space where clients do not have to navigate those emotions alone.
Elena also provides individual and group clinical consultation and support to therapists who are beginning their careers or building their own private practices. She understands the importance of having support while finding your voice as a clinician and developing a practice that feels authentic and sustainable. She also facilitates a weekly support group for new mothers, offering connection and community during a life transition that can feel both deeply meaningful and overwhelming.
At the heart of Elena’s work is the belief that there is always room for greater understanding, connection, and growth—even during the seasons that feel the most uncertain. Therapy can be a place to gently explore what has been, make sense of what is, and begin to imagine what comes next.
Elena is honored to work with clients as they reconnect with themselves, discover their strengths, and find their own path toward healing, meaning, and a greater sense of well being.
