Movement to Respond to Discomfort
Movement to Respond to Discomfort
4-Week Somatic Yoga Course with Instructor Jill Manos
Discomfort is a natural part of being in a body, it arises, shifts, and asks for our attention in different ways. Movement to Respond to Discomfort is a 4-week course that invites you to explore how discomfort shows up in your body and how you can meet it with awareness, curiosity, and choice.
Open to everyone, this course offers one 45-minute class per week rooted in somatic practices and gentle yoga. Together, we’ll slow down and build skills for noticing sensation, understanding patterns of response, and experimenting with movement as a way to support yourself through moments of tension, unease, or overwhelm.
Rather than trying to fix or eliminate discomfort, this practice honors it, creating space to listen, respond, and move in ways that feel supportive and sustainable.
What to expect:
4 weekly 45-minute somatic-based movement sessions
Practices that build awareness of sensation and response
Exploration of how discomfort arises and evolves in the body
Tools for meeting discomfort with choice instead of reactivity
Accessible, adaptable movement for all levels
This course is an invitation to relate to discomfort differently, not as something to avoid, but as something you can move with, learn from, and navigate with greater ease.
Each class is live.
